Bella Jung Bella Jung was born on June 3, 1955 in San Francisco. She
graduated from Lowell High School and earned her BS degree in business
administration from San Francisco State University. With eight years as
head cashier for Macys, she joined the Marines' Memorial Club (MMC) as
treasurer and worked into her role as CFO until her passing October 31st.
Bella was with the MMC for 27 years. After surviving her first bout with a
brain tumor in 1982, Bella and Horatio were blessed with raising two
lovely daughters, Stephanie and Kristen. A second surgery in 2003 and
subsequent gamma knife surgeries did little to deter the growth of new
brain cancers. Bella made her transition peacefully at home on October 31,
2007 after celebrating her 25th wedding anniversary on the 30th, leaving a
loving and lasting memory for her husband Horatio. She was surrounded by
family and friends. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of many. The joy
she brought to all those she knew will not be forgotten. A private service
will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park, and a Celebration of Life will
take place at the Marines' Memorial Club, 609 Sutter St., SF on Sunday,
December 9, 2007, 10am-2pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to
Marines' Memorial Association in memory of Bella Jung, Membership &
Development. |
